Activities

The Warriors and Warbirds Air Show begins Friday and continues until Sunday at the Charlotte-Monroe Executive Airport off Airport Road in Monroe. It will feature planes from World War II and the Korean War. The theme is “The Battle of Britain.” The show goes on, rain or shine, and parking is free. Limited handicap parking is available near the airport; once the lot is full, it will become a drop-off and pick-up point. Buses will be available to shuttle patrons.

Coolers, smoking and pets, with the exception of service dogs, are not permitted. Bring blankets or folding chairs for seating. Cameras are allowed.

The Warriors and Warbirds Air Show will serve beer and wine this year in an authentic English pub in an enclosed area. Wine is provided by Treehouse Vineyards in Monroe.
