Hi there! Spring has sprung, and its time to get our team moving! We will be having a Membership Meeting on 13 Mar 21 at 10 AM at our hangar at Charlotte-Monroe Executive airport (KEQY). Whether you are a regular, or just want to swing by to see what we are about, we hope to see you then!
Our hangar is located at 1640 Aviation Drive, Monroe, NC 28110. Tinker Belle will be parked out front as usual, so please enter through the gate or from the FBO.

Hello! we have some exciting things happening here, and we’d love for you to join us!
First of all, we are doing some work on our A-4 Skyhawk, and can use some help from you!
The A-4 is getting a new paint job, and well, that takes many hands to get it done! If you have the time, please come out to the maintenance hangar during the day (9:00 – 4:00) on any of the following dates:
We will be priming and painting the following week (Nov 16th-21st), and letting everything setup properly over the week after. We expect to apply decals at the end of November or first week of December.
Even if you only have an hour or two to spare, we can use the help!
Secondly, our next membership meeting is 7 Nov 2020, starting at 11 AM.
We will recap the year, and all members will have a chance to vote on board members for the upcoming year. If you are interested in running for an office on the board (President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, or Member at Large), please let us know prior to this meeting, and come prepared to present your case to the membership.
Once the meeting is concluded, we will be providing lunch – families are invited, so please make sure you select an accurate number of tickets so we have a good head count. Lunch will be provided by Hathaway’s Chicken and the City of Monroe, so come hungry!
Lastly, we will be working to setup a remote option, for those that wish to attend the meeting via their computers. That information will be published just prior to the meeting to avoid unexpected Zoom participants.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post a quick note about the Arsenal of Democracy flyover – Tinker Belle will be unable to attend next week. It is scheduled to happen September 25th…I am sure it will be broadcast. More information is available here: https://ww2flyover.org/.
However, we will of course be all ready for our Warbirds Over Monroe (https://www.monroenc.org/…/Warbirds-Over-Monroe-Air-Show) appearance Nov 7th-8th. We hope to see everyone then!!
Hello everyone!! As you see, Warbirds Over Monroe is a go for 2020!!
We are very excited and looking forward to some much needed aircraft entertainment!
That being said – we’re going to need some volunteers. In fact, we are expecting even more people to attend this year, so any help we can get is much appreciated. We have a membership meeting planned for 25 July at 10 am at the Warriors and Warbirds hangar. If you would like to volunteer, please try to attend. We will keep it as short as possible, and will keep the focus on signing up volunteers for the show. We will have committees setup for the various areas we need to cover – aircraft display support, gate collections, shirt sales, performer pickup/dropoff, pyrotechnics support, Hangar Dance, and volunteer meals.
If you are unable to attend, but would like to have your name on the list, please reply in the comments below. If you have a specific area you would like to work, please let us know as well. We’ll do our best to honor those requests!

Hello Everyone! We are looking for some volunteers to help cleanup the hangar in preparation for the membership meeting, and to help transfer some parts to new owners.
If you have some free time, please swing by the hangar at KEQY by noon on 31 Jan 2020. We expect to be done by 2 PM at the latest.

First of all, we would like to thank everyone that attended our final airshow of the year at Warbirds Over Monroe. Whether you performed, volunteered, organized, provided support, or simply came out and enjoyed the gorgeous weather and the thrill of the show – thank you!!
With the holidays upon us, Warriors and Warbirds will be slowing down for a bit. However, we already have air shows lined up for next year, and we are ready to start having regular membership meetings again! Our first one is scheduled for 1 Feb 2020 at noon! Show up a little early, grab some food, spend some time connecting with friends old and new – we’ll have some updates and news for the group as well!
Thank you again to everyone who was involved with making Warbirds Over Monroe 2019 a huge success, and we are looking forward to seeing you at the hangar on 1 Feb! Enjoy your holidays!
